Mrs. Julie Forget holds a degree in industrial engineering from the École polytechnique de Montréal and graduated from McGill University with a Master's degree in development economics from McGill University. In the last 15 years, she advised numerous organizations on social acceptability, environmental assessments and regional development. From 1995 to 2002, she first worked as a consulting engineer in industrial development and technological innovation for large companies before becoming Production Manager for two SMEs. From 2002 to 2007, she taught economics at college level and became a political analyst for a newspaper. From 2008 to 2017, she was Project Manager, Director and Vice-President of consulting firms specializing in social acceptability, environmental assessment and regional development. More recently, Mrs. Forget had been advising organizations in private practice while also teaching courses in environmental assessment at the Master's level at a university.

Member and Vice-President of the BAPE since June 2018, Mrs. Forget has served as a commissioner on the public consultation regarding the Brion Island ecological reserve of Magdalen Islands.
