Philippe Bourke is a biologist and has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

After 20 years of leading the Regroupement national des conseils régionaux de l’environnement du Québec, he held the position of Vice-President, Strategic Development and Public Affairs, at Réseau Environnement in 2017.

Mr. Bourke was also President of the Fonds d’action québécois pour le développement durable, a member of the Territoires innovants en économie sociale et solidaire’s board of directors and sat on the Comité consultatif du Plan d’action québécois sur les changements climatiques. He founded GaïaPresse and the Secrétariat des organismes environnementaux du Québec and he was the manager of the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique, of the Canadian Environmental Network and of the Centre québécois d’action sur les changements climatiques.

Mr. Bourke has been a member and President of the BAPE since November 20, 2017.
