CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE OF PUBLIC SESSIONS

Québec, November 15, 2006 – Please note that certain changes have been made to the schedule of the public sessions of the second part of the hearing of the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) dealing with the Belmont and Magpie lakes massif, Lac aux Sauterelles knolls, Guernesé lake foothills and Brador hills biodiversity reserve projects in the Lower North Shore Plateau natural province . Indeed, the session planned in Blanc-Sablon has been moved to the Salle communautaire de Blanc-Sablon located at 1550, boulevard Docteur-Camille-Marcoux. Moreover, a session has been added and will be held at the offices of the Conseil des Innus de Pakua Shipu located at 6, rue Innu in Pakuashipi.

The BAPE commission of inquiry, chaired by Mr. Pierre Béland, will hold, beginning on November 21st of this year, the second part of the public hearing at the following locations :

This second part will be devoted to hearing the briefs of individuals, municipalities, organizations and groups wishing to voice their opinion to the commission, as well as to the suggestions and verbal opinions of the public.
