PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON WATER MANAGEMENT (PART TWO)
PRESENTATION OF BRIEFS BY THE INUIT NATION
Québec City, November 22, 1999 The Commission on water management in Québec of the Bureau daudiences publiques sur lenvironnement (BAPE) and the Kativik Environmental Advisory Committee (KEAC) hereby announce that a joint public hearing will be held to hear the Inuit nations views on water management.
The public session will take place in Montréal, the afternoon of December 2, 1999, and will be co-chaired by Tommy Grey, KEAC Chairman, and André Beauchamp, Chairman of the Commission on water management in Québec.

During this session, the BAPE Commission and the KEAC will hear the briefs and opinions of individuals, groups and representatives of the Inuit nation who have registered to express their views on water management. Anyone wishing to submit a brief without presenting it at the public hearing has until November 25, 1999 to forward it to the Commission secretariat.
This public session constitutes Part Two of the public consultation mandate that the Minister of the Environment conferred on the BAPE. The Commission on water management in Québec and the Kativik Environmental Advisory Committee (KEAC) had agreed on special terms and conditions for consulting the Inuit nation.
